To celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Filipino American internet personality and beauty icon Bretman Rock just took home decor to a whole new level – vibrant, unapologetic and deeply rooted in culture and community.

Bretman revealed a bold new mural painted across the garage doors of his Makaha home in Hawaii. The colorful artwork, created by Native Hawaiian illustrator Shar Tuiʻasoa, better known as Punky Aloha, features a stylized figure of Bretman himself lounging on a unicorn floatie, surrounded by tropical flora, birds and Hawaiian sunshine.

In an Instagram post, Bretman shared his excitement, saying that the mural was done by the “talented @punkyaloha,” and reminding followers to continue uplifting one another, especially local artists.

He expressed long-standing admiration for Tuiʻasoa, writing, “Shar I loooved you for sooo many years! And I will always cherish this art forever!!” He also joked that he could no longer move homes because he wanted to keep the garage doors as they are, calling them permanent fixtures of his heart.

“I literally can’t move now, bc I want these garage doors forever !!”

Tuiʻasoa echoed the enthusiasm, posting her own reflections on Instagram.

She declared, “A bad bitch will get a mural painted on their home,” but went a step further, stating that only “Da Baddest” would have one featuring themselves on a unicorn floatie, displayed on the garage of a Makaha mansion.

Tuiʻasoa said the mural had been a dream collaboration between them for some time, and she was glad it finally came to life. She called the experience one of her “most favorite murals so far,” and said it was both beautiful and perfect.

She also praised Bretman for consistently supporting local creatives and lifting up their community, describing him as deeply loved and appreciated for good reason.
