After showcasing Filipino musical talent on the global stage with a concert in Paris last March, Asia’s Phoenix Morissette and Filipino Canadian singer Darren Espanto are now taking their high-energy “Showstoppers” tour to the United States.
The US leg of the tour is part of The Filipino Channel’s ongoing celebration of its 30th anniversary, a milestone the network has been marking with international performances.
Last year, the “Showstoppers” series brought its magic to Frankfurt, Germany, on May 11 and to Madrid, Spain, on Nov. 17.
Now, American fans have the chance to witness the chemistry and vocal power of two of the Philippines’ top artists, live on stage.
“USA, are you ready for these SHOWSTOPPERS?!” TFC posted on social media. “MORISSETTE & DARREN are taking over this summer with electrifying performances from Texas to SoCal to NorCal! Don’t miss your chance to witness their powerhouse vocals LIVE!”
The tour kicks off on June 14 at the Immanuel Center in Stafford, Texas, followed by a show at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California, on June 20. It will conclude on June 22 at the Graton Resort and Casino in Rohnert Park, Northern California.
Appearing on the noontime variety show “It’s Showtime” as host, the Fil-Canadian singer expressed his excitement about the tour and the chance to connect with Filipino communities across the US.
He further shared that he’s looking forward to performing in these cities and bringing a piece of home to their kababayans.
The dynamic duo has been praised for their vocal range and heartfelt performances.
Recently, Morissette won the Best Actress award at the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) 2025 for her role in “Song of the Fireflies.” She also received a nomination for the same role at the Houston International Film Festival.
