Reflecting on his time away, the “Stitches” hitmaker expressed that the break helped him realize how special performing live truly is.
“I feel like time away has allowed me to come back and recognize and remember how unbelievably special it is to get to play live shows. It’s an honour and I’m just beyond grateful that you guys keep showing up after 10 years with so much love.”
The singer-songwriter’s gratitude for his fans is evident as he called touring one of the best jobs in the world. “I almost forgot I have one of the best jobs in this world.”
The upcoming tour will begin with selected dates in Europe and North America, as Mendes prefers to ease back into performing with a more intimate set of shows.
“I wanted to ease into things at first and play a few shows in Europe and North America to start with… I love you guys so much. See you out there,” he added.
On tour, Portuguese singer MARO, Belgian Cameroonian artist Lubiana and Australian musician Eddie Benjamin will join Mendes on various legs.
